DEVOTION

Waiting can be one of the hardest parts of faith.

You pray, but the answer doesn’t come.

You prepare, but the opportunity doesn’t appear.

You hope, but the situation doesn’t change.

And you begin to wonder, “God, how long?

”Waiting can feel like doing nothing.

But waiting on God is not wasted time.

Sometimes God is doing work in you before He changes what is around you.

A seed does not become a tree overnight. Much of its growth happens where nobody can see it.

Your waiting season may also contain unseen growth.

God may be developing your patience.

He may be changing your perspective.

He may be preparing you for something you are not yet ready to carry.

And sometimes, His answer is not “No.

”It is simply “Not yet.

”You don’t have to force a door because you’re tired of waiting.

You don’t have to rush into something simply because you are afraid nothing else will happen.

Learn to trust God’s timing.

Your responsibility is not to control the timeline.

Your responsibility is to remain faithful while you wait.

TODAY’S TRUTH

Waiting does not mean God has forgotten you; sometimes He is preparing you while you wait.

1. What are you asking God to do that requires you to wait?
2. What might God be developing in you during this season?

PRAYER

Heavenly Father,

Waiting is difficult for me.

I want answers, movement, and certainty. But today I choose to trust Your timing.

Help me not to rush ahead because of impatience.

Teach me what You want me to learn while I wait, and give me a heart that remains faithful even when I cannot see what You are doing.

I trust that Your timing is wiser than mine.
