“Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.”— Joshua 21:45 (NIV)

DEVOTION
People make promises they cannot keep.
Plans change. Circumstances change. Even sincere people sometimes disappoint us.
And when you’ve been disappointed enough times, it can become difficult to trust.
But God is different.
His promises do not depend on changing circumstances.
When God says He is faithful, He is faithful.
When He says He will be with you, He will be with you.
When He says He is working according to His purpose, you can trust Him—even when the situation looks completely different from what you expected.
You may be in a season where you cannot yet see the fulfillment of what you are praying for.
Don’t mistake waiting for failure.
God’s timing may not look like your timing, but His character never changes.
You don’t have to understand everything God is doing in order to trust who He is.
Hold tightly to His Word.
When your feelings say, “Maybe God has forgotten me,” return to His promises.
When circumstances say, “There is no way forward,” remember that God’s faithfulness is greater than what you can see.
Your circumstances may change.
God’s promises remain.
TODAY’S TRUTH
You can trust God’s promises even when you cannot yet see how they will unfold.
REFLECTION
- Which promise of God do you need to hold onto in this season?
- What would trusting God’s faithfulness look like today?
PRAYER
Heavenly Father,
Thank You because You are faithful and Your promises never fail.
When circumstances make me doubt, bring me back to Your Word. Help me remember what You have said instead of allowing fear to determine what I believe.
Give me patience while I wait and faith when I cannot see the outcome.
I choose to trust Your character, Your timing, and Your promises.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
