DAY 18 — God Restores Your Joy

“You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.”— Psalm 16:11 (NIV)

DEVOTION

Sometimes life slowly takes the joy out of you.

You still smile. You still fulfill your responsibilities. You still show up for the people who need you.

But somewhere along the way, the things that once brought you joy don’t feel the same anymore.

God sees that too.

He does not want your relationship with Him to become nothing more than surviving one day after another.

His presence brings something deeper than temporary happiness.

Joy.

This joy does not depend on everything going perfectly. It comes from knowing that God is with you in every season.

You can laugh again.

You can dream again.

You can enjoy the little things again.

You can discover that your heart is still capable of gratitude even after difficult seasons.

God can breathe new joy into places that have been tired for a long time.

You don’t have to pretend to be happy. Bring your weary heart to Him, and allow His presence to slowly restore what disappointment has taken away.

TODAY’S TRUTH

God can bring joy back to places in your heart that have grown weary.

REFLECTION

  1. What has been stealing your joy lately?
  2. What simple blessing can you thank God for today?

PRAYER

Heavenly Father,

You know the places in my heart where joy has become difficult to find.

I bring my weariness and disappointment to You. Restore the joy that circumstances have taken away and teach me to recognize Your goodness even in ordinary moments.

Help me find delight in Your presence again.

Thank You for reminding me that difficult seasons do not have the final word over my heart.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
